Women around the world today unite, rally, gather (virtually) in Celebration of International Women’s Day. This global day created to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world.  Take time today to reflect on the woman trailblazers in your life who have made history, made a difference, big or small that leave a positive impact everywhere they go empowering the need for some type of change that ultimately leads to a better tomorrow.  According to the website of International Women’s Day

” A challenging world is an alert world and from challenge comes change.

How will you help forge a gender-equal world? “

#ChooseToChallenge , Raise Awareness Against Bias

Challenge and call out the status quo when as a woman you see or are experiencing inequality in any shape or form. In today’s world, there simply is no excuse when there are better and more inclusive ways of doing things.  Take note that inequalities against women can apply to any and all categories that makeup one’s life.  Within our own families, in our workplace, within society, in politics naming just a few.

Take ACTION, Say Something!

When you see another woman being treated differently based on gender, sexuality, race, citizenship, knowledge skill set, social class, health/professional care level, occupational opportunities granted in comparison to others disproportionately, say something!  If you see bias in favor or against in a way that is unfair directly or indirectly without being given an equal chance to a different idea, say something!  By only raising awareness against bias and challenging the status quo will we one day see a more inclusive world. Know that it’s the responsibility of each of us as women to individually and collectively create that culture that truly promotes fairness and inclusion in the communities we live in and understanding it requires active change.  When we see discrimination and inequality it’s the responsibility of each of us to individually  “choose to challenge” the status quo (whom) ever that may be, your workplace, society, or the political arena, and Say Something to call out the inequality.
Women must rally and promote equality in every way they can calling out stereotypes and help forge a more inclusive world.  International Women’s Day is a day to not only recognize all the progress society has made towards a more inclusive world but also a day to look forward to all the progress there still needs to be made.

How will you help forge a gender-equal world? “
