Life is a continuous learning experience. One that teaches many lessons along the way. The more time passes the more life teaches you. Some things you will learn through more traditional ways, reading or these days watching a youtube video about it. Others, you will only learn by the experience and facing the situation presented before you. Here are three life lessons everyone should learn sooner in life.
“Carpe diem”
Meaning Seize the day. Make the most of the present time and don’t think too much about the future. Do more of all the fun things you want to do in life. Life is too short to not be having fun and enjoying more of the things you like to do. We waste so much time with unimportant things that don’t really matter in the bigger picture of life. Focus on those things that help you make the most of your day. Don’t’ get hung up on the little things.
“Less is always more”.
Ah, an oxymoron. Remember those from school? This means to really have the essential things vs all the things. Too much “stuff” is not a good thing, rather it becomes clutter all around you. When you take a good look around at what you really need in this life to be happy, it comes down to a few basic needs and wants. A roof over your head, food on the table, and time spent with those you love.
“Money does not buy happiness”
While money is a tool that allows you to purchase many necessities and wants. Money affords one the autonomy about how you go about living your life, but it does not buy happiness. Happiness is a state of being, and having very little or having a lot of money doesn’t equate to a constant state of happiness. Well-known research conducted said that people tend to feel happier the more money they make. However more money, more problems.
